yes it's possible.. i have a friend a RN form korea who is now 38 just got her BSN in 2008. and my aunt( like in her late 30s graduated a long time ago.. a social worker but decide to go into nursing.. she took some biology and chem course in community college and now is in Lasalle university in their nursing program she just recently took the RN test and passed while in their program. age doesn't matter.. if you want to go into nursing.. you should check out the schools for nursing and see their requirements.. carlow university lasalle holy family temple universities in the east coast. definitely check out colleges around where you live.. it's never too late..

Not sure why your asking but I believe no. My mom was a doctor in India (born there) and said to get to med school, a loan isn't even needed. She said to be a doctor here is more harder so I must work for nursing as well.

In San Jose, CA we have a large population of East Indians or Hindu Immigrants.

You'd need to pass the CGFNS (Commission Governing Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) Exam, the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Exam and the NCLEX-RN. http://www.cgfns.org/ http://www.ets.org/portal/site/ets/menuitem.fab2360b1645a1de9b3a0779f1751509/?vgnextoid=69c0197a484f4010VgnVCM10000022f95190RCRD https://www.ncsbn.org/index.htm

Its easier than before because US have a huge shortage in the nursing area. The US now are pulling professionals nurses even from Thailand because there not enough nurses, almost every single hospital is running with less nurses that they are suppouse to. There not enough people studying nursing careers and in a couple years from now the crisis will be horrible!!!!!!! So if you are a professional nurse (If you are a RN please run!!!) contact your closest USA embassy and see what your suppouse to do (papers,diplomas,etc...) I am a RN and this scenario is my everyday thing. Working double shifts and still my hands are full.
