Will I take the risk of going to India with just a tourist visa for applying as a nurse in some hospitals ther?
I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines with 6 months nursing experience. I want to work as a nurse in hospitals in India. India will be my stepping stone to go to Canada. Will the hospitals accept me for an interview there in some hospitals?I have send my resume in some hospitals in India and they asked for an interview but I can't do that because I am here in the Philippines.

i don't think it's risk. best of luck for your job.
2 :
No, don't risk it. If you must leave your struggling country in need of nurses, then at least do it right.
3 :
Do you have a license to work as a nurse there? You likely would need a license and work visa fist.
4 :
First for those that don't know In the Philippines the nurses have to work for free for their first year before they can work for pay in their country. They have a lot of nurses there even their doctors will go to nursing school to come to the U.S. as a nurse. So For the person wanting a Interview ask to do a internet Interview if India wants to claim to be a high tech work force ask them to set up a Web cam video interview.
5 :
do not risk it get the correct VISA. plus you would not be aloud ed to work without the correct VISA.

I have loads of respect for nurses, they have a tricky job, but still many peeps are attracted to this job. I found some excellent instruction on the resource in the box below, it aided my sister to set out on the route to becoming a nurse, she is in her first semester of training now.

You have to contact the Board of Nursing in the state you are living in and apply for a nursng license. They will assess your nursing education and experience and decide if you are eligible to write the NCLEX.If you pass you will be able to work as a nurse.
