Generally you'd have to study in the US to meet the requirements of education before you'd be able to take exams to be able to practice as a nurse. I believe you could work as an aide though.

I started my nursing program at 26. There were several other students in their 30s and 40s. I don't see any problem with starting at 27 :)

You would not get a job abroad without IELTS. Any job abroad would also require that you have a nursing license for that country so that would be the first thing you would have to do.

A Registered Nurse from India is in high demand within the USA. A RN in the USA earns between $ 75K to $100K per year. TOEFL / IELTS is a must including the NCLEX-RN course. I would advise you to be proactive in your search for lucrative US Nursing Jobs. Simply applying on or searching for jobs on a few websites won't give you the results that you're aiming for. I recommend following the step-by-step guide at: http://www.usa-jobs-forever.com/us-nursing-jobs.html that lists well-researched methods with complete information & data, which if followed correctly, will guarantee you a number of high quality interviews. Hope This Helps! All The Best! Regards, Shabbir K.
